Mister, Easter...
Quite special days for most Poles but with limited resources here, we were unable to prepare a 2 day eating fest :) So we prepared a dinner on Sunday. Zurek, kabanosy, ham (not quite allowed in this country :) ). All looked quite nice and reminded it was Easter. We all sat at the same table, with our foreign work partners invited. The kitchen staff looked strangely at us as we were consuming the unmatched polish food.
New Year passed on unnoticed. Just another day. No party, no fireworks, no nothing. But I'll make up for it when I come back to Poland. So get ready... :) Of course that is after I come back from Thailand, where we'll rock and show them how to party (right? :) ).
Can't sleep at night. I have really strange dreams. Last night I was kind of possessed. I dreamt of myself being thrown around my room, screaming. Really strange.
And of course dreams of me fighting monster have come back. Haven't had them for a long time/ I'd rather have my dreams about vampires back, though being a medevial hero is also cool :) The thing is, how to interpret all this. Who are the monsters, who are my partnering heroes? :) I have some ideas but different people read this page, so I'll keep them to myself :)
Ah, I don't quite feel like writing today so it's the end. But do not weep, my dear fans (yeah, how many are there left?2,3? :) ), 'cause I'll be back. I'll hit like a sudden lighting, hurricane of fresh ideas, earthquake of jokes :)

Ho ho ho...Merry Christmas...
Unfortunatelly no presents, or day off.But two Christmases in a year is something and if I live till 24.12.2008, which I sincerely hope I will, I'll be seeing Father Christmas twice in 2008.Or at least european 2008 because...
It's 1386 in Iran...Battle of Grunwald is in 24 years. So not that far. But the Teutonic Knights are starting to be a problem out here :)
Anyways, New Year is in one week. It's one of the most important holidays here in IRI, so everything stops for about a week. And people celebrate the No Ruz.
In our camp there is a pond (would call it a pool had it been 4 feet deeper) with lamps around it. And we can even turn on a fountain :) So like a top class hotel it is. Really nice and will be excellent for a party spot :) Yeah, it's good you don't get punished for dreams...
Work's ok, sun's getting nastier, temperature rising, Tabas slowly turning into hell on earth :)
Merry Christmas everyone,
cheerio

What's a man, without a woman??
What would be life without you?A stupid, meaningless, pointless and all day/night long party.Wait, this is good right? :))))))
You are the sense of our lives. Oh, and parties, mates and football are as well :) Just joking.
You know we love you. We ought to tell you that everyday but today is a good occassion to say that aloud. To all of you.

Back where I belong :)
So I am back here. Tabas, Yazd...
A few months ago, I didn't think I'd agree to go back, but here I am.For some time.
So the trip. The trip was quite ok. We started on Friday, 6:00 o'clock train to Katowice. Then we had to fill all the necessary documents, collect the equipment. After that we (me and my mate from Poznan) spent the rest of the day in Chorzow. Booked a room in a hostel located in the park where Stadion Slaski is :) And then it started snowing and all I had was a light jacket. But what the hell. We had a short trip round the park and to the nearest Carrefour to buy some polish beer (last one in at least 3 months).
Saturday was when the air journey started. First to the Pyrzowice airport. There we met the rest of the "Wreckless crew" :) The check-in (I had to repack my luggage and use my awsome communication and negotiation skills on the Lufthansa lady to let me pass with 6k of baggage over the limit-those who know me, know that i am irresistible so it was a piece of cake :) ),passport control and there we were - no way back :)
The Frankfurt airport did not change much. I had the biggest steak of my life. Unfortunatelly the price reflected its size :)
The flight to Tehran and the last drop of alcohol for a long, long time ;) Yes, i know that alcohol has been mentioned recently way more than the average but you must remember where I am...
And finally we arrived in Tehran, went through two baggage controls and were taken to a hotel. Quite nice I must admit. But we only had a two hours' sleep. This is the reason for my unfortunate incident the following morning.
After breakfast i was just about to leave the hotel and get into a taxi. So happy and thoughtless as I am, I banged right into the glass door. :) A loud bang . Hallo, Iran. This is Lucas coming back and wants everyone to know that :)
Then Tehran-Tabas and we were taken to the camp. Work camp :) Just joking.
Not the same one as before but really nice. Though the first impression was a bit different it is now all back into shape. Each of us has a room, own bathroom and kitchen. The place is quie tidy, people nice and food better than the last time.
It's been a week now and we all are getting used to the new/old lifestyle. Guess it's not bad 'cause the time is passing by quite fast and this is important.
I'll be back in Poland in July (most probably). So i'll miss the Euro (grrr!) but they say Iranian TV will be showing some games (it's better than TVP :) ). Go Poland :)
Oh, one more thing. I must be really a calamity :) Yesterday I fell down the stairs. These stairs are cunning bastards. Really nasty. I think they had been waiting for a chance to attack me since I came. And yesterday they were successful. I lost my ground and fell down. Banged my knee and right cheek bone :) But I'm ok. What does not kill you, makes you stronger! At least that's what people say :)
Infidels. Behold, thy friend is back in Iran...
take care...
p.s.
Ah, toilets. We have normal, european style toilets. Unfortunatelly they do not sing, massage or warm you bottom but are still much more friendly than the "Malysz type" iranian ones...This is good.
Got a good idea, since Adam had problems with his starting position maybe he could come to Iran and train a bit?

St. Barbara's day

Long Live the MINERS!!!!!
To all the miners. I guess I could call myself one but this would be a exaggeration...A really big one :) So it's to all the people that really worked their assess of in Iran (now I'd be in this group :) ). Shame not everyone appreciates that....
Hej, do szybu niech z nas każdy bieży! „Szczęść nam Boże!” zaśpiewajmy wraz!
Boć synowi podziemnych czarnych światów każdy chętnie poda swą dłoń.
Niech żyje nam, niech żyje nam górniczy stan! Niech żyje nam górniczy stan!
Gdy nareszcze góry się zachwieją i wnijdziem, bracia, do światłości bram,
staniem wszyscy z tą błogą nadzieją, że złota miłość więzi serca nam.
Boć synowi podziemnych czarnych światów każdy chętnie poda swą dłoń.
Niech żyje nam, niech żyje nam górniczy stan! Niech żyje nam górniczy stan!

Da Godfather....

So I became a godfather. Don Ufok...Capo di tutti capi... :)
The pictures below show my goddaughter. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome, BARCA (with an 's')!!!
She's my friend's 7-week-old cane corso.

Sweet, intelligent, beautiful (ok, i've found a dog, how about a girlfriend? :) ).
You can play with me now, but i'll be 45kg heavy someday!
It wasn't me....
Have you seen my food???Apart from that not much has changed. I am still sending CVs and waiting for some reply. Come on you people, I would be a great asset to any company.... :)

Gooooodbyee Iran!!
First of all i'd like to say hi to my new fans in Katowice :) The saying "No matter what they say about you, as long as they speak about you" is very up to date :)
My contract ended yesterday. I've been in Poland since Friday.
The trip itself was ok. 12 hours on the bus to tehran reminded of school trips :) then a short wait at the airport, flight to frankfurt (scotch & soda bitte), then a wait at the frankfurt airport (tequilla, arriba arriba!!! - though at 8 Euro a shot it was not the best deal in our lives), then a flight to Katowice (Poland welcomes with a sandwich) and eventually a 5 hour train trip to Poznan (had to stand in the corridor until Wroclaw!!). So after merely 40 hours I was home. Woohoo. And...
I have this strange feeling. It's like I miss Iran a bit (oh my god, call a doctor, he went bananas!!). I guess after 6 months of living in one place you get used to it. To the people, the work, the place itself, the jackals performing concertos every night.
But this is Poland. I am happy to be here. But then again. I am in a bit of a standstill (just like the belts underground :) ). Don't really know what to do. I am waiting for some things to be finalized and then I'll start changing my life :) Or at least I'll try and organise it. We'll see. Meanwhile, i am cherrishing Poland, the winter (ok, I am not, It is way to cold), polish people. Waiting for christmas, new year's and then...a new something :)
Take care all of you.
For those who managed to spend some time in Iran with me and for those reading that pile of bollocks - a big thanks.
Photos to be added soon.
Take care...
